The only difference is the 12 has a XX Full, Mod and IC. I have the same shotgun in a 20 and plan on shooting them side by side. I then have the ability to power up to 3 or even 3 1/2' if I feel brave. I've shot it and with 2 3/4 shells recoil isn't that bad. I put this together using an H&R with a screw in choke.
